Nursing Home Data Dashboard
Nursing homes report COVID-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) data weekly to CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN), including vaccination, cases, and hospitalizations among residents. Nursing homes also report COVID-19 vaccination data among healthcare personnel (HCP) to NHSN monthly. This page displays data among residents and HCP of CMS-certified nursing homes. These national and state-level summaries represent data from approximately 15,000 nursing homes that report to NHSN.

Vaccination Coverage among Nursing Home Residents
Weekly cumulative percent of nursing home residents vaccinated COVID-19 vaccine, the seasonal influenza vaccine, and RSV vaccine. Preliminary data are shaded in gray.
- Influenza vaccination is displayed October through March 31, marking the beginning and end of the influenza season.
- Influenza vaccine: Percent of residents vaccinated with 2024-25/2025-26 seasonal influenza vaccine.
- RSV vaccine: Percent of residents vaccinated with RSV vaccine.
- COVID-19 vaccine: Percent of residents up to date with COVID-19 vaccines. The COVID-19 Vaccination: Understanding Key Terms [PDF – 1 MB] document is updated quarterly to include changes to the COVID-19 vaccine surveillance definition.
- For Quarter 4 of 2025 (September 29–December 28, 2025), facilities reported COVID-19 vaccination status in the manner most meaningful with their infection prevention priorities and policies.

Hospitalization Rates per 100,000 Nursing Home Residents
Weekly hospitalizations with a positive respiratory viral test per 100,000 residents from CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Preliminary data are shaded in gray.
- Influenza and RSV data collection became required on January 1, 2025.
- Residents hospitalized during the week of data collection, who tested positive for a respiratory pathogen in the 10 days prior to hospitalization. Additional details found here [PDF – 2MB]
Nursing Home Healthcare Personnel: COVID-19 Vaccination
Weekly cumulative percent of nursing home healthcare personnel vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine.
- COVID-19 vaccine: percent of healthcare personnel with COVID-19 vaccines. The NHSN surveillance definition [PDF – 1 MB] with COVID-19 vaccines is updated quarterly to incorporate vaccine guidance changes.
- Nursing homes are required to report healthcare personnel COVID-19 vaccination data 1 week per month, and data are due quarterly, approximately 4 months after the last week of a quarter. Additional details found here [PDF – 2MB]
